| After the difficulties I faced at Ani-Magic, it was nice to be back at the Airtel, where I was really pleased with last year's results. The photo areas at this hotel are really beautiful compared to Ani-Magic's Antelope Valley Inn. I'll admit that I don't take as many photos as I used to because lately, I've really begun to enjoy the social aspects of being at conventions. I love meeting the fans and mingling with them. This convention also had a few panels and concerts that I was interested in attending during prime shooting hours. Losing the best photo location for the last day of the convention didn't help matters. So, even though the convention was much larger this year, my output of photos is a lot smaller. I've always had the philosophy that it doesn't matter if you take 10 photos at a convention or 10,000, just do a good job on what you do take. Shooting the masquerade was also a huge challenge with the low stage, strange colored lighting and having to sit behind somebody wearing an obnoxious hat, but I've learned to deal with situations like that and just try my best to capture the show. Please enjoy my Anime LA 2006 cosplay photos. |
