The Grand Parade is the centerpiece of Nisei Week. For the first time in its history, the parade included
a nebuta float, which is an illuminated float constructed of mostly of paper and wood. The start of the
parade was pushed back a few hours from its tradtional start time so that it would be dark when this
float hit the parade route. With this float, this was a very memorable Grand Parade.
