Pacific Media Expo is the most unique convention on my schedule for this year.  This convention features Asian entertainment from both sides of the Pacific.  I go to many anime conventions and am more interested in the non-anime attractions that are built into them.  When I go into a convention's exhibit hall, I'm more likely to shop for J-Pop CDs and DVDs than anime and manga.   I'd prefer to watch Asian live-action films and dramas than anime.  I'd rather listen to a great sounding band that I've never heard of instead of a well-known voice actress.  I also enjoy going to various cultural festivals, which is one of the great things about living in the Los Angeles area.   Pacific Media Expo is a combination of many of the activities that I love, so I didn't have to think twice about putting this convention on my schedule.
